Polywater | Hauff-Technik earns Canadian CSA Mark for mechanical sealant line
Airtight and watertight seals that meet industry guidelines are critical to engineers seeking reliable sealing solutions

(Stillwater, MN February 2, 2022) — Polywater announces that its Polywater | Hauff-Technik mechanical seals have been certified under CSA’s ISO/IEC 17065 accreditation with the Standards Council of Canada (SCC). These seals meet the requirements of Conduit Fittings under Class C4412 02. The PHRD seals are considered watertight and approved for CSA standard C22.2 No. 18-3-12, 2nd ed. for conduit, tubing, and cable fittings.

Polywater | Hauff-Technik PHRD conduit seals are the most diverse mechanical seals on the market. They can be customized to seal around any size and configuration of cables or pipes and can be manufactured for core-drilled holes or conduits with diameters of 1.5 inches to several feet. EPDM rubber was used for the seals certified by CSA, but we offer additional types of rubber for other applications. The PHRD mechanical seals minimize the passage of gases vapors, or dusts under normal operating conditions.

The innovative one-piece, split design provides a simple, labor-saving sealing solution for cables or pipes that are already laid or newly laid. Stainless steel pressure plates and bolts provide durability in corrosive environments and are rodent resistant. Reliability, labor saving, and durability are criteria engineers and contractors demand when sourcing mechanical seals.
