Un centre de conf\u00e9rence, un\u00a0si\u00e8ge pour les \u00e9tudes oc\u00e9anographiques et atmosph\u00e9riques, des mus\u00e9es et des logements pour le personnel civil et militaire faisaient partie de ce plan ambitieux.<\/p>\n<h2 aria-level=\"1\"><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">D\u00e9fis<\/span><\/b><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335559685&quot;:1440,&quot;335559738&quot;:106}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n<h3><strong>Satisfaire la demande \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Le projet a pos\u00e9 des d\u00e9fis importants concernant la fourniture d\u2019infrastructures ad\u00e9quates et la satisfaction de la demande \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique. D\u2019apr\u00e8s les estimations, un nouveau poste \u00e9lectrique \u00e9tait n\u00e9cessaire pour disposer d\u2019une capacit\u00e9 suffisante. Cela n\u00e9cessitait de tirer deux circuits (six sections de c\u00e2bles) sous Pearl Harbor jusqu\u2019\u00e0 l\u2019\u00eele de Ford, situ\u00e9e \u00e0 plus d\u2019un kilom\u00e8tre de distance.<\/p>\n<p>Le poids des circuits et la longueur de tirage pr\u00e9sentaient des d\u00e9fis in\u00e9dits. Chaque section de c\u00e2ble mesurait environ 5\u00a0300\u00a0pieds (1\u00a0615\u00a0m) de long. Le c\u00e2ble \u00e9tait en PER de 46\u00a0kV 1\u00a0750\u00a0kcmil Cu avec un diam\u00e8tre ext\u00e9rieur de 3,04\u00a0pouces (77\u00a0mm) et un poids de 7,625\u00a0lb par pied (11,35\u00a0kg\/m\u00a0; poids du d\u00e9vidoir sup\u00e9rieur \u00e0 20\u00a0tonnes) \u00e0 tirer dans un tuyau en PEHD de SDR-11 de diam\u00e8tre ext\u00e9rieur de 6\u00a0pouces (152\u00a0mm). Le c\u00e2ble \u00e0 fibre optique et le conduit int\u00e9rieur plus petit en poly\u00e9thyl\u00e8ne haute densit\u00e9 (PEHD) ont \u00e9t\u00e9 tir\u00e9s ult\u00e9rieurement, dans un conduit vide du bo\u00eetier.<\/p>\n<h3><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Pr\u00e9servation du site historique<\/span><\/b><\/h3>\n<p>Au fur et \u00e0 mesure que les plans prenaient forme, des d\u00e9fis suppl\u00e9mentaires relatifs aux exigences de pr\u00e9servation du site historique sont apparus. Une extr\u00eame prudence \u00e9tait de mise non loin de la piste d\u2019atterrissage de l\u2019\u00eele de Ford, o\u00f9 les impacts de mitrailleuses de l\u2019attaque de Pearl Harbor du 7\u00a0d\u00e9cembre\u00a01941 \u00e9taient visiblement marqu\u00e9s en vert. L\u2019installation de stockage des c\u00e2bles devait \u00eatre situ\u00e9e loin des vestiges des mitrailleuses tir\u00e9es par des avions de guerre. Le forage horizontal sous-marin des tubages risquait d\u2019endommager le M\u00e9morial de l\u2019USS Arizona. Chaque entrepreneur a \u00e9t\u00e9 mis au d\u00e9fi de trouver la technologie et l\u2019\u00e9quipement les\u00a0plus perfectionn\u00e9s et de personnaliser les solutions selon les besoins.<\/p>\n<p>American Electric (AE), l\u2019entrepreneur en \u00e9lectricit\u00e9 qui serait charg\u00e9 du tirage des c\u00e2bles, a\u00a0calcul\u00e9 le mod\u00e8le de tirage et effectu\u00e9 des simulations de tirage pour d\u00e9terminer la longueur du\u00a0conduit. \u00c0 ce stade, un coefficient de friction \u00e9tait n\u00e9cessaire pour effectuer des calculs de\u00a0tension\u00a0; l\u2019implication d\u2019un acteur essentiel, Polywater\u00ae est alors devenue n\u00e9cessaire.<\/p>\n<h3 aria-level=\"1\"><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Mesure de la friction et Pull-Planner de Polywater\u00ae<\/span><\/b><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:1,&quot;335559685&quot;:1440,&quot;335559738&quot;:101,&quot;335559740&quot;:306}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">AE <\/span>a contact\u00e9 Polywater au d\u00e9but de sa phase de planification pour lui demander de devenir un partenaire cl\u00e9 dans la r\u00e9ussite des tirages de c\u00e2bles. Polywater disposait d\u2019un outil d\u2019importance, le programme logiciel propri\u00e9taire <a href=\"https:\/\/www.polywater.com\/fr\/pull-planner\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pull-Planner<\/a>, d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 par John\u00a0Fee, le pr\u00e9sident de Polywater \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9poque. Ce logiciel pr\u00e9sentant un avantage principal\u00a0: il\u00a0offrait la possibilit\u00e9 de modifier facilement des variables telles que le coefficient de friction, la tension entrante et les donn\u00e9es relatives au conduit pour un tirage de c\u00e2bles donn\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-863\" src=\"https:\/\/www.polywater.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/Friction-Table-Labeled-French-720p.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"720\" height=\"406\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Dans le cadre du projet de l\u2019\u00eele de Ford, le logiciel Pull-Planner a \u00e9t\u00e9 largement utilis\u00e9 lors de l\u2019analyse du tirage, l\u2019une des \u00e9tapes de pr\u00e9planification. Cette tension pr\u00e9visionnelle \u00e9tait d\u2019un peu plus de 7 000 lb (31 kN ; de 5 800 \u00e0 8 400 lb). D\u2019apr\u00e8s l\u2019analyse, le tirage pouvait \u00eatre effectu\u00e9 \u00e0 des tensions bien inf\u00e9rieures au maximum.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-916\" src=\"https:\/\/polywaterv2.wpengine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/Modele-de-simulation-de-tirage.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"111\" \/><\/p>\n<h3><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Fonctionnement de Pull-Planner<\/span><\/b><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335559685&quot;:1440,&quot;335559738&quot;:268}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Les recherches de Polywater ont d\u00e9termin\u00e9 les principales influences suivantes sur le coefficient de friction sur le terrain et la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 a appliqu\u00e9 ces connaissances aux tirages de c\u00e2bles de l\u2019\u00eele de Ford\u00a0:<\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Gaine\/conduit\/lubrifiant : <\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Ces trois \u00e9l\u00e9ments \u00e9taient connus. La gaine \u00e9tait de type PE, le conduit \u00e9tait en PEHD et le lubrifiant \u00e9tait Polywater J, un produit dont la performance de tirage de milliers de kilom\u00e8tres de c\u00e2ble de transmission souterrain est av\u00e9r\u00e9e depuis des d\u00e9cennies. Les mesures en laboratoire relatives \u00e0 la table de friction de Polywater avec cette association \u00e9taient en moyenne de 0,11 \u00e0 0,12, avec une plage de test \u00e9troite comprise entre 0,10 et 0,16.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Temp\u00e9rature : <\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Les temp\u00e9ratures tr\u00e8s \u00e9lev\u00e9es rendent les gaines \u00ab\u00a0collantes\u00a0\u00bb, et ce malgr\u00e9 l\u2019utilisation d\u2019un lubrifiant. En janvier, la temp\u00e9rature moyenne sur l\u2019\u00eele d\u2019Oahu est de 72\u00a0degr\u00e9s Fahrenheit (22\u00a0\u00b0C). Cependant, l\u2019\u00e9quipe pr\u00e9voyait que la temp\u00e9rature aurait une faible incidence.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Nombre de c\u00e2bles : <\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Trois c\u00e2bles tirent avec un coefficient de friction plus \u00e9lev\u00e9 que celui pr\u00e9vu par le facteur de correction de poids, en particulier lorsque le remplissage du c\u00e2ble se situe dans la\u00a0plage 30\u00a0% et plus. Dans ce cas, le tirage \u00e9tait r\u00e9alis\u00e9 avec un seul c\u00e2ble. Ce n\u2019\u00e9tait donc pas un facteur d\u2019incidence.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Pression <\/span><\/b><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">normale : <\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Les c\u00e2bles lubrifi\u00e9s traversent les virages avec un coefficient de friction l\u00e9g\u00e8rement inf\u00e9rieur \u00e0 celui des sections droites. Cette diff\u00e9rence est parfois appel\u00e9e pression \u00e9lev\u00e9e par rapport \u00e0 la friction \u00e0 faible pression. La table de friction Polywater est un test de pression \u00e9lev\u00e9e (g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement, 200\u00a0lb\/pi [300\u00a0kg\/m] de pression). L\u2019amplitude des diff\u00e9rences de\u00a0pression sur le frottement d\u00e9pend des d\u00e9tails de tirage sp\u00e9cifiques. Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9termin\u00e9 que le tirage \u00e9tait un tirage \u00ab\u00a0sans coude\u00a0\u00bb, vraisemblablement dans le mode de friction \u00e0 basse pression. Il s\u2019agirait d\u2019un facteur important poussant le coefficient de friction au-dessus des mesures de la table de friction.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.polywater.com\/fr\/pull-planner\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-924 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.polywater.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/Le-logiciel-Polywater-Pull-Planner.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"424\" \/><\/span><\/b><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\"><strong>D\u00e9tails du conduit et de la traction\u00a0:<\/strong> Un conduit en PEHD neuf de haute qualit\u00e9 avec des joints int\u00e9rieurs soud\u00e9s et rabot\u00e9s a \u00e9t\u00e9 sp\u00e9cifi\u00e9 pour cette installation. Mais le lubrifiant pourrait-il permettre de tirer le c\u00e2ble sur cette distance tout en restant efficace\u00a0? M\u00eame avec des techniques d\u2019application optimales, il \u00e9tait n\u00e9cessaire de prendre en compte la longueur extr\u00eame de tirage.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\"><strong>Tension arri\u00e8re : <\/strong><\/span>AE disposait d\u2019un syst\u00e8me \u00e9labor\u00e9 d\u2019alimentation de c\u00e2ble et d\u2019entra\u00eenement du d\u00e9vidoir. La soci\u00e9t\u00e9 pensait que le c\u00e2ble entrerait dans le conduit sans presque aucune tension arri\u00e8re. Par cons\u00e9quent, la tension arri\u00e8re \u00e9tait suppos\u00e9e \u00eatre nulle.<\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\"><strong>Application du lubrifiant :\u00a0<\/strong><\/span>AE a fait preuve de diligence dans sa planification et son approche en mati\u00e8re de lubrification, assurant une application rigoureuse et minutieuse. Polywater avait mis au point des algorithmes permettant d\u2019estimer les quantit\u00e9s de lubrifiant appropri\u00e9es pour un ou plusieurs tirages sur un chantier.<\/p>\n<p>La recommandation pour les tirages de 46\u00a0kV \u00e9tait d\u2019environ 600\u00a0gallons (2\u00a0270\u00a0litres).<\/p>\n<h3 aria-level=\"1\"><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">R\u00e9sultats<\/span><\/b><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335559685&quot;:1440,&quot;335559738&quot;:106}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>De d\u00e9but octobre\u00a02005 \u00e0 fin f\u00e9vrier\u00a02006, 24\u00a0tirages ont \u00e9t\u00e9 effectu\u00e9s sous Pearl Harbor. Une\u00a0fois\u00a0les op\u00e9rations d\u2019\u00e9pissage, de protection contre les arcs et de mise \u00e0 la terre effectu\u00e9es, l\u2019\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 \u00e9tait disponible plus t\u00f4t que pr\u00e9vu pour le projet de l\u2019\u00eele de Ford.
