Le niveau de l&rsquo;eau est donc \u00e0 30\u00a0m\u00e8tres au-dessus du sol. La pression hydrostatique au niveau du sol serait de 30\u00a0m\u00e8tres. La pression hydrostatique n&rsquo;est pas affect\u00e9e par le volume total de l&rsquo;eau, mais uniquement par sa hauteur. \u00c0 proximit\u00e9, se trouvent deux conduits s&rsquo;\u00e9levant \u00e0 une hauteur de 30\u00a0m\u00e8tres, un conduit de 5\u00a0centim\u00e8tres et un autre de 10\u00a0centim\u00e8tres. Les deux conduits sont remplis d&rsquo;eau. La pression hydrostatique au sol pour chacun d&rsquo;eux serait \u00e9galement de 30\u00a0m\u00e8tres. La quantit\u00e9 totale d&rsquo;eau n&rsquo;entre pas en compte dans le calcul de la pression hydrostatique, le diam\u00e8tre du conduit non plus. Les seuls facteurs qui comptent sont la hauteur et la profondeur des conduits.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Un vaste syst\u00e8me de conduits<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-12714\" src=\"https:\/\/www.polywater.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/Widespread-duct-system-FR.png\" alt=\"Illustration d'un vaste syst\u00e8me de conduits\" width=\"1452\" height=\"1137\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Une usine de production pr\u00e9sente un joint au fond d&rsquo;un syst\u00e8me complexe de conduits. Le syst\u00e8me s&rsquo;\u00e9tend sur des centaines de m\u00e8tres lat\u00e9ralement et sur plusieurs hauteurs, avec des conduits de diff\u00e9rents diam\u00e8tres. \u00c0 un moment donn\u00e9, ce syst\u00e8me est rempli d&rsquo;eau jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 6\u00a0m\u00e8tres au-dessus du joint. La pression hydrostatique sur ce joint est de 6\u00a0m\u00e8tres. La taille des conduits et la distance lat\u00e9rale couverte n&rsquo;ont aucun effet sur la pression hydrostatique. Un deuxi\u00e8me joint plac\u00e9 \u00e0 30\u00a0m\u00e8tres de distance, \u00e0 la m\u00eame profondeur, a \u00e9galement une pression hydrostatique de 6\u00a0m\u00e8tres. Une hauteur d&rsquo;eau de 6\u00a0m\u00e8tres sur le c\u00f4t\u00e9\u00a01 contre une hauteur d&rsquo;eau de 4,5\u00a0m\u00e8tres sur le c\u00f4t\u00e9 2\u00a0donnerait une pression hydrostatique de 1,5\u00a0m\u00e8tres, poussant du c\u00f4t\u00e9\u00a01 vers le c\u00f4t\u00e9\u00a02. Les 4,5\u00a0m\u00e8tres de pression du c\u00f4t\u00e9\u00a02 r\u00e9sistent efficacement et contrebalancent les 6\u00a0m\u00e8tres de pression du c\u00f4t\u00e9\u00a01.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Comparaison de regards de maintenance<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-12702\" src=\"https:\/\/www.polywater.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/Comparing-manholes-FR.png\" alt=\"Une illustration comparant des regards de maintenance\" width=\"1452\" height=\"547\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Deux regards de profondeur identique (disons 3,6\u00a0m\u00e8tres) sont plac\u00e9s au niveau du sol, mais en raison d&rsquo;un d\u00e9nivel\u00e9, le regard\u00a02, situ\u00e9 \u00e0 un p\u00e2t\u00e9 de maisons, se retrouve \u00e0\u00a01,5\u00a0m\u00e8tre plus haut que le regard\u00a01. Si la nappe phr\u00e9atique est au m\u00eame niveau pour les deux regards, la pression hydrostatique pour un conduit scell\u00e9 au fond du regard\u00a02 est inf\u00e9rieure de 1,5\u00a0m\u00e8tre \u00e0 celle du regard\u00a01. En effet, en mesurant \u00e0 partir du fond des regards, le niveau de l&rsquo;eau est 1,5\u00a0m\u00e8tre plus bas dans le regard\u00a02. Le regard\u00a01 est situ\u00e9 \u00e0 Denver, \u00e0 1\u00a0615\u00a0m\u00e8tres au-dessus du niveau de la mer, et le regard\u00a02 est situ\u00e9 \u00e0 Minneapolis, \u00e0 253\u00a0m\u00e8tres au-dessus du niveau de la mer. Les deux regards de maintenance sont remplis d&rsquo;eau jusqu&rsquo;en haut. La pression hydrostatique d&rsquo;un conduit scell\u00e9 au fond de chaque regard est de 3,6\u00a0m\u00e8tres. Le d\u00e9nivel\u00e9 n&rsquo;a aucun effet ici. L&rsquo;information qui compte est la profondeur de l&rsquo;eau \u00e0 chaque emplacement.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Al\u00e9sages directionnels<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-12710\" src=\"https:\/\/www.polywater.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/Directional-bores-FR.png\" alt=\"Illustration d'al\u00e9sages directionnels\" width=\"1452\" height=\"609\" \/><\/p>\n<p>L&rsquo;\u00eele de Jupiter, en Floride, est desservie par l&rsquo;\u00e9nergie \u00e9lectrique fournie par des conduits for\u00e9s sous la voie navigable intercostale. L&rsquo;altitude de l&rsquo;\u00eele de Jupiter est de 4,5\u00a0m\u00e8tres au-dessus du niveau de la mer, tandis que le continent a une altitude de 7\u00a0m\u00e8tres. Ind\u00e9pendamment de la profondeur ou de la forme du forage, ou des conditions de mar\u00e9e actuelles, un joint sur l&rsquo;\u00eele plac\u00e9 \u00e0 4,5\u00a0m\u00e8tres au-dessus du niveau de la mer ne subira aucune pression hydrostatique car il n&rsquo;y a pas d&rsquo;eau au-dessus de lui. La pression hydrostatique d\u00e9pend toujours de la profondeur de l&rsquo;eau \u00e0 un endroit pr\u00e9cis. Toutefois, si un conduit scell\u00e9 est expos\u00e9 \u00e0 l&rsquo;oc\u00e9an \u00e0 une profondeur de 3\u00a0m\u00e8tres \u00e0 mar\u00e9e basse, la hauteur d&rsquo;eau au niveau de ce joint est de 3\u00a0m\u00e8tres \u00e0 mar\u00e9e basse. La pression hydrostatique augmentera au fur et \u00e0 mesure que la profondeur de l&rsquo;eau augmentera avec la mar\u00e9e montante.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>La charge d&rsquo;eau correspond \u00e0 la hauteur de l&rsquo;eau<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>La pression hydrostatique est simplement bas\u00e9e sur la hauteur de l&rsquo;eau dans le syst\u00e8me. Un joint peut \u00eatre con\u00e7u pour emp\u00eacher l&rsquo;eau de sortir d&rsquo;un syst\u00e8me ou pour garder l&rsquo;eau \u00e0 l&rsquo;int\u00e9rieur du syst\u00e8me. Dans les deux cas, la pression sur le joint est bas\u00e9e sur la hauteur d&rsquo;eau.
