American Polywater's
Foam Sealant (FST) Quantity Calculation Page

Introduction: This page will estimate the quantity of two-part FST liquid required to seal a conduit or multiple conduits. Polywater's FST ™ Duct Seal expands and hardens to a closed-cell foam. A 3-inch seal keeps water, gases, acids, greases, insects and rodents out of the conduit. The calculator determines the amount of liquid base required to produce the needed 3-inch seal assuming a 20% cable fill.

The FST liquid measurement method varies with with the package. The FST-250 caulking tube style package has centimeter (cm) markings on the label and recommended quantity is given in cm. The FST-180 "side-by-side" cartridge uses a racheted application tool and quantity is given in number of "squeezes" or "squirts".

Data Entry: The data input is straight forward. Select the FST package (see below), duct size and the number of ducts. The calculation provides a target quantity for each conduit followed by the total number of cartridges or tubes needed for the whole job. Each FST-250 caulking tube contains 8.6 cms of liquid base and each FST-180 cartridge contains 12 squirts of base. For more detailed job planning, please contact customer service.
