PRODUCT NEED:

Delicate fiber optic cables must be cleaned during splicing to maximize light transmission performance. Optical connector end faces, polishing pads, and other tools need cleaning too. Only a fast-evaporating, non-abrasive, residue-free, and non-chlorinated solvent will suffice. High purity anhydrous alcohol is the logical choice. But in bulk, flammable alcohol faces transport restrictions, and poses spill and vapor exposure hazards, as well as requiring the sourcing of separate wiping towels. Small, pre-saturated lint-free wipes are needed for efficient optical cleaning.

PRODUCT SOLUTION:

Introducing the Type FO™ Fiber Optic Wipe from American Polywater. Type FO™ is great for cleaning glass fibers, connectors, and tools. FO™ quickly removes dust, oils, and contaminants, while leaving no residue. The anhydrous alcohol in FO™ has essentially no water content. Avoiding water is important with optic fiber cleaning. Type FO™ is available in a pre-saturated towelette. The towels are durable and non-linting. Pre-saturated wipes are a convenient option for field use. The package limits vapor exposure and eliminates spill hazards. There is no need to transport bulk quantities of flammable alcohol.
