Getting cable lubricant from the pail to the conduit can be a messy, frustrating ordeal for outside plant workers. Hand application of slimy lubes is a sloppy, inefficient, and unappealing task. Various pumps are available to perform the task, but they often rust out and require tiring hand pumping or inconvenient electrical or pneumatic power sources.

PRODUCT SOLUTION:

American Polywater introduces the Polywater® Lubricant Pump Model LP-D5, a drill-operated, self-priming, flexible-impeller transfer pump. The LP-D5 pump sets directly onto a 5-gallon pail or 55-gallon drum. The 10-foot discharge hose feeds all Polywater® lubricants directly into the conduit or onto the cable during cable installations. The solid brass pump is corrosion resistant and easily cleaned with water. The variable speed pump can be powered by a battery-operated drill (not included), allowing complete freedom in the field. The LP-D5 can pump liquids, gels, and even Polywater® Plus Silicone™ with plastic microspheres at a rate of up to 2 gallons per minute.
